About Me

A short story about my work, learning, and what I enjoy building.

I am a Site Reliability Engineer and DevOps professional with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes deployments, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production support.

My work has mostly been around making systems more stable and easier to operate. I have worked through real production challenges like noisy alerts, deployment failures, unclear logs, and environment issues. These experiences helped me focus more on root cause analysis and long-term reliability improvements.

Outside of work, I am passionate about badminton and have played at the state level. Sports taught me discipline, consistency, and how to stay calm under pressure — qualities I bring into my engineering work too.

Site Reliability Engineering & DevOps Work

Cloud, production reliability, automation, and deployment support

  • Worked on improving system reliability using monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for production systems.
  • Built and maintained dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana to track application health and infrastructure metrics.
  • Supported Kubernetes deployments across environments and helped troubleshoot pod, configuration, and release issues.
  • Automated infrastructure tasks using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to reduce manual effort and improve repeatability.
  • Worked on CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI to make deployments smoother and more consistent.
  • Supported AWS and Azure environments, including cloud resources, monitoring, and application support.
  • Handled production incidents by reviewing logs, metrics, alerts, and system behavior to identify root causes.
  • Collaborated with developers and support teams during releases, incidents, and troubleshooting sessions.

Kubernetes Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Monitored Kubernetes pods and services using Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Debugged pod restart issues using logs, resource usage, and Kubernetes events.
  • Used kubectl to check pod status, logs, deployments, and service behavior.

CI/CD Pipeline Automation

  • Worked on Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines for build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Automated repeated deployment steps to reduce manual effort and mistakes.

PhD & Research Interest

I’m particularly interested in distributed systems, system reliability, and cloud infrastructure. My long-term goal is to pursue a PhD in this space and study how large-scale systems behave under real-world pressure.

Areas I want to explore include system failures, fault tolerance, observability, scalability, incident recovery, and how cloud-native systems can be designed to recover better during failures.
